Meet Your Physician, Dr. Dale Bartolome

Dale Bartolome, MD, is a board-certified physician with a passion for helping men and women of all ages look and feel their best. She’s so committed to making her patients happy, in fact, that her mantra at About Face Kailua in Kailua, Hawaii, is that “you never leave our office without a hug.”

A Hawaiian native, Dr. Dale is proud to have spent almost her entire education on the island of Oahu, where she grew up. Once she realized that medicine was her calling, Dr. Dale enrolled in the prestigious John A Burns School of Medicine, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dale Bartolome, MD

Upon graduation, Dr. Dale left her native state to complete her internship and residency in St. Louis, Missouri, before making a move to Washington state for a pediatrics job at Kaiser Permanente.

Dr. Dale loves working with children, so it came as no surprise when she continued this work for more than 30 years before returning to Hawaii to care for her aging mother.

Today, Dr. Dale has a new passion: aesthetics. Since moving back to Hawaii and launching About Face Kailua, she has given men and women a restored sense of confidence and well-being, with cosmetic treatments that include laser therapy, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, and dermal fillers.

She is focused on creating individualized skin care treatment plans for each on of her patients, taking their complexion, desired outcomes, and budget into consideration during every appointment.

Jamy M. Azevedo, RN, BSN

Jamy M. Azevedo,, RN, BSN is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University. She was born and raised on the Windward side of Oahu, is married and has two children. She started in the Aesthetic field in 2001 working in dermatology, oculoplastics and cosmetic tattooing. Her current interest include traveling, reading, cooking and attending workshops and conferences related to Medical Aesthetics.

Makani Kela, Receptionist

Aloha, my name is Makani and I am a receptionist here at About Face Kailua. Overall extremely passionate about helping everyone in anyway that I can and love to connect with all our clients. I promise to give you such an effortless and smooth experience in scheduling any appointment, and any inquiry you might have. We have so much to offer here at About Face Kailua, and we can’t wait to meet you!

Maki McNeal, RN, BSN

Maki McNeal, RN, BSN is a registered nurse who is committed to help client discover their own definition of “beauty”. She believes everyone’s beauty goals are different and each treatment should be tailor to the specific person. Her nursing experience was not always in aesthetics. She has years of experience in trauma ED/ICU, but recently she discovered her love and passion in aesthetics. From those acute care experiences, her priorities remains the same, “safety and patient advocacy”.

She believes achieving her clients’ beauty goals starts from listening to her clients and creating a treatment plan just for him/her/them.

Maki’s another passion is health and fitness. Prior to becoming a RN, she was a fitness director at a physical therapy clinic focusing on injury prevention as well as recovery. With her bachelor of science degree in exercise and sports science, she also worked with community members, such as local fire departments and high school athletes to provide education on core stability and injury prevention. Fitness is still a big part of her life. She enjoys going to the gym, hiking, surfing, running, and anything outdoor. She lives by “work hard, play hard”.

She believes wellness starts within, and that self-care is a huge part of wellness.

Fatima Boorman, Receptionist

Hi my name is Fatima and I am a receptionist at Aboutface Kailua. I am here to answer any questions you may have about the procedures and services we offer. Nora Ruiz, Receptionist

I was born and raised in the California Bay area and have three adult children, two of which were raised in Hawaii. I live on the Windward side of beautiful Oahu. I love and live on the beach and enjoy all water sports as well as running on the beach with my two German shepherds. As I got older, I sought out the fountain of youth which I found with Dr. Dale and Aboutfacekailua. Come visit us here in Kailua. We will help you look and feel your best!

Dianarose Tungpalan

Esthetician who specializes in advance treatments in the medspa. Her favorite area in the beauty industry is in skincare. She loves to train and help others to succeed, whether its to accelerate in life or to improve their skin concerns. She is the owner and founder of Pacific Esthetics Institute Post Secondary School Cosmetology in Esthetics to train aspiring estheticians. She loves to travel and try different things that will inspire her to better in life or in her career.

Kaile Silva-Vares

My love for skincare continues to grow throughout the years with continuous education and having amazing peers on the team.
